Bagless Vacuum Will you clean the filter in a bagless vacuum cleaner with water? What are good ways to clean the filter paper other than hitting against something? My bagless vacuum cleaner does not suck as good as it is, this could be the problem? Maybe just go w / a wet towel. It could be the filter. The best way is to simply replace it. Search the hose ammonium nitrate in a vacuum it self for a plug. Toys and something can suck and cause a restriction. Yes, you should be able to wash the filter with water. If you have a manual sweeper, refer to it for maintenance of the machine. If you do not have the manual, you probably can see online. Just look at your sweeper for the model number and type of the brand and model. They can be a pain to clean, I know! I found a big gap on Amazon and it was less than $ 100 including shipping. I love him. It is very powerful and easy to clean (only 2 filters, a HEPA filter and another small sponge). The HEPA filter is not washed. I just ordered a new one once a year or more. I work in a vacuum repair / sales shop and the answer is YES, you can wash the filters as most others have said. You must make sure it is dry. Firstly, a wet filter does not work as well as pores "are swollen shut. Second, and worse, the moisture will get into the engine causing it to fail. I recommend customers not to wash the filter three times maximum, because they never completely clean by the 3rd wash are more clogged than clean. This reduces the suction and focuses on the engine.
