Bamix Recipes

Bamix RecipesMixers Premium for private users

The two mixers, we will cover here are the Vitamix Total Nutrition Center (CNC) Blendtec Total Blender and because they are the most popular choices for raw food enthusiasts. Having personally owned and used two mixers for a number of years, we will try to give an iSight in each machine. Both machines can be made up for sale through www.juiceland.co.uk if we are more than happy to store them at once.

Vitamix Total Nutrition Center (TNC)

This was my first electric blender and boy was I surprised when I got home. The original TNC had a 750-watt motor that has now been increased from 2010 to 1000 watts. Firstly, it's a big old beast weighs just under 5 pounds and certainly took pride of place on my countertop. Well, I never really got it to anywhere on my work plan, as it was much too big - the cabinets above me from the store mix with the pot 64 oz / 2L up. Fortunately, my kitchen is large enough, then store the jar next to the engine has not been a problem for me, but with less counter space available - I found it was a pain.

Following this operation with some smoothies from fresh fruit, I put it to work on my first batch of hummus, the recipe was taken from Vitamix cookbook that came with the machine. At first I did not manage to make hummus, mixer kept roaring like a monster trying to grind sesame seeds and chickpeas, a thick black smoke and basically anywhere. The smoke was not a problem as I had been told what would happen as up excess grease applied during manufacture. So I decided to start over and add the ingredients in smaller batches, this time the CNC coped admirably. After this first failure, I applied the same logic in large series for all future revenue.

The CNC is a beast Vitamix simple two switches - one for On / Off and the other for power Turbo, then you have a line that increments of 10 to select the speed - what do you need? When you use the machine, you turn it on and gradually increase the speed of the product mix to desired consistency, then turn off when you're done. The turbo button is mainly used in hot soup, just turn the control and let it run for 4-5 minutes and presto - hot soup! To be honest, being a Northerner I would not be miserly in using this as easy as it eats power is enormous - more than I like my soup mixture into the pan with a hand mixer by Bamix.

I happily used this blender for 5 years, grind seeds, making smoothies, soups, sauces, cocktails. There was not much she could not cope, even if things like cabbage mixture of buckwheat there a source of stress. I intend to move to the Vitamix Vita-Prep 3 when finances permit, it is the business model with a larger engine. Then came along .......

The Blendtec Total Blender

This mixer is in stark contrast with the CNC Vitamix an area much smaller and not as big as its counterpart - which allows it to be stored in my kitchen with the bowl in place. There are no switches or dials here, just an LCD screen and touch screen - a mixer for the modern kitchen!

The original model I received was a pitcher 64 oz / 2L with 3 "blade and 1500 watt motor, which is two times more powerful than the Vitamix. The pitcher has a square round unlike a Vitamix. Apparently, it means you do not need to touch it - although I've never really used to touch the Vitamix and means you do not need a bowl of extra-dry process dry ingredients such as seed - and I never want the pitcher to the dry ingredients to Vitamix or dry.

Blendtec blenders work like no other blender, they use cycles to perform each task. A cycle is a process that will make for a certain period of time and speed can vary or remain constant during the cycle chosen. For example, say that the cycle is 30 seco.
