Best Waffle Iron

I like Belgian waffles and regular. Looking to buy an iron for the home. What are the advantages and disadvantages of an iron Belgian vs. an ordinary one and what brands / models are good?

They both make waffles if you have a great dough recipe for each type. I prefer the old cast iron stove top waffle iron in both styles and use them often. Once you get used to make waffles in them, you'll be a master and can do more waffles faster than any electric model out there because there is no recovery time on the irons melting.

Waring Pro Waffle Restaurant Style. I think it's great because you get great Belgian waffles and style, you have to turn the iron on to ensure the mixture becomes uniformly distributed in the iron. The only drawbacks I found with this iron is that it is evil to clean the days when I add chocolate chips to my waffle mix, and you must be careful not to add too much mixing in the iron or it spills over the sides.

I say buy one of each.
