Bread Machine Ratings

Bread Machine RatingsDoes power indicate capacity?

I have a number of KitchenAid stand mixers, ranging from 4.5 quarts to 6 liters. The powers of these mixers varies. What is most disconcerting is the 5 and 6 qt mixers seem to have less power in the pure mixture of the machine 4.5 quarts. This leads me to believe that a rating of 250 watts of my mixer 4.5 quarts has nothing to do with real power, compared to the rating of my 325 watt 5 quart mixer, which can effectively stall while mixing the accuracy, the same amount of dough per liter 4.5.

So what is the purpose of rated power, except to indicate power. Energy is not the same as the power, I think it was intended to indicate the number of watts.

Yes the power is synonymous with power in electrical terms, but it is more involved than wattage in your situation, if you want to mechanical power first and then there are other factors ... such as design, gears, engine type, speed, etc.

it is called specmanship!

nobody tells lies, but they distort the truth and omit parts

it also depends on the type of engine
squirrel cage motors are factors of poor power when not loaded
Engines are more resistant

Yes, it is confusing and is done on purpose

Power indicates "power", but "couple" is more complicated again.
The couple also made according to the transmission of engine.
If you apply the same power at different speeds you get different maximum torques.
(I bet 5 units quart runs faster, or uses a wider arms ", the unit of 4.5 quarts.)
