Cuisinart Coffee Maker Parts

Cuisinart Coffee Maker PartsMake a coffee with coffee maker Kitchen Art?

I had two unsuccessful attempts to make coffee with this coffee maker: http://www.cuisinart.com/parts/coffee_bar/dcc-1200.html

The first time I did not use a filter because I think that comes with it was enough, and it gave me less than a cup of liquid coffee, it beeps signaling has been made and the filter was filled with water and coffee grinds. So I tried it and dumped again, this time to put a filter in and do the same thing. It beeps when it is "done", but the small amount of coffee comes out is very watery, water is just floating in the filter upwards. Please help? Thank you!

There is a valve type device or check valve "between the filter housing and carafe. It will not open if the carafe is not in the cradle. It seems that a) the valve is stuck closed, or b) the pitcher is not good either and does not trigger the flip open or closed lock, or c) there is a piece of crud stuck in the hole at the base of the filter housing.

It appears that you have the same kitchen art machine that I have.

Make sure the pot is under the machine properly. If this is not the mixture of water and coffee will not be properly and it wont drip into your pot. Do you have an overflow issue? The filter filling with water in the coffee and does not flow into the pot? This is the answer to the problem.

After trial and error that I really like mine now.

do you use the right kind of coffee? if it is too thin it might make it more difficult for the flow of liquid in the jar.
