Fiber One Pop Tarts

Fiber One Pop TartsEasy Methods For Kids Get Into fiber, even if they are fussy

We as parents can often make the fight for our children to consume enough fiber. They tend to be picky about which fruits and vegetables they will or will not eat. In some cases, some children do not eat fruits or vegetables.

Having a child with chronic constipation and is also very picky when it comes to fruits and vegetables made me take measures to determine how to get my son to help ensure adequate fiber to constipation. If I can do with a picky eater, you can too.

My doctor had suggested I give my son a little mineral oil to help with constipation, but finally I had to make some changes in my son's diet. It has been suggested to eliminate all fast food from his diet because he is a friend and can cause constipation, but in fact, my son and I rarely eat fast food. Then he suggested I give my son the prune juice. I do not even prune juice, so I knew my son to drink it did not go over well. I tried and failed. But here are some methods that I tried and worked.

Feed your child one of those fruits that contain the greatest amount of fiber: apples, bananas, blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, guava, kiwi, oranges and pears.

These nuts are the richest in fiber figs, grapes, apricots, dates and prunes. Prunes are definitely an acquired taste, but they now do with the cherry, orange and lemon flavoring. My son loves the Cherry Sunsweet Prune Essence. I can even stick 2-3 of these snacks in a bag and put them in his lunch box and eat them at school. They taste really nice and I do like them.

These vegetables have the highest fiber content: avocado, beans, broccoli, carrot, chickpeas, mushrooms, potatoes with skin, pumpkin, canned green peas, spinach and sweet potatoes.

In addition to these foods, you can also try these additional foods that contain significant amounts of fibers: 100% of Raisin Bran cereal, whole grain breads (there are several brands that offer a high fiber bread that has 5-6g fiber per serving), and most nuts such as almonds, Brazil nuts, peanuts and cashews.

Make fiber a brand becomes the new go to the source for snacks and food replacements where possible. General Mills Fiber One has the Fiber One brand and has many products which ensure you get at least 205 of your daily fiber intake form one of their servings per day. Fiber One yogurt has kid-size with 5 grams of fiber. They also have granola bars with 9 grams of fiber available in flavors such as oats and chocolate, oats and strawberries and chocolate mocha same. In addition, they have cottage cheese, blueberry muffin mix and pancake mix each with 5 grams of fiber per serving, breads and my son's favorite baked goods. The pastries Fiber toaster are like Pop-Tarts they only have 5 grams of fiber and low in sugar. Personally, I think the pastries fiber toaster taste better than Pop-Tarts too.

Finally, you can give your child chewable Benefiber fiber. Just one tablet provides 4 g fiber. I get assorted fruit flavors and my son loves the taste. In fact, I keep them out of reach in case.
