What is the most cost - gas oven or electric oven toaster? I try a new recipe that requires cooking the meat for 5 hours. What is the most economical, cooking in a gas oven or an electric toaster oven?
If the furnace were the same size, the gas would be cheaper. But you have a major concern when trying to cook the meat for 5 hours (other than the ridiculously small size). Your meat will be much, much too close to the source of heat for slow cooking good. The element is usually only inches from the food, which will kill your beautiful, expensive meat. You must use your gas oven. It is designed to cook food in the way you intend. The toaster oven is really just a toaster. So you want grilled meats? I think not! Do yourself a favor, bite the bullet and flip for gas. You will not get the bill until next month anyway. You may not even notice the increase.
usually the toaster oven is probably because it takes much less energy to maintain the temperature of a small enclosure over a gas stove.
Would you like a toaster oven is large enough to contain the meat? If so, it would probably be most effective simply because it is smaller.
