Hot Water MakerCoffee Glossary

The cafe has its own language. Some terms that are frequently used are the following:

Auto nozzle: used to automatically froth milk for cappuccinos and lattes

Automatic Drip Coffee Maker: a machine used to heat the water automatically filter through the coffee.

Automatic Espresso & Coffee Maker: as its name suggests it is having an espresso machine controllable, programmable coffee dosing.

Bean to cup: Machines bean to cup usually have the ability to do everything from grinding the beans to fill a cup of coffee.

Boiler: It is the heart of the steam coffee machine. These large boilers are more powerful and produce more hot water for drinks.

Boiler Element: This is an element that heats the boiler electric espresso machines.

Cappuccino: A drink made of Italian espresso coffee.

Warmer: Here are the cups are placed for warming. It is a metal part on top of the espresso machine.

Dosage is the amount of grams or brewed coffee per cup.

Broiler Pan: it is part of the espresso machine, where the coffee cup for filling.

Espresso coffee is a rich black Italian preceded by specialty coffees.

Basket Filter: A filter made of metal where grounds are placed for brewing.

Filtered Method: The process of separating water from the coffee.

Group: Part of espresso machine used to prepare the coffee.

Channel Group: Portion of espresso coffee machine for holding the filter basket that goes in the ground coffee.

Heat exchanger: aid for heating water for coffee without taking water from the boiler.

Hopper: This is the part of the mill that holds the coffee beans.

Knock-Out-Box: This is a container used to remove the coffee group handle.

Latte: A beverage that is prepared by mixing a cafe quarter, three quarters of steam, hot milk with little froth.

Moka is the term used to describe a hot drink made of espresso, chocolate and milk.

Moka Pot: Classic Italian espresso special use on the stove top.

Coffee: A type of coffee that water flows continuously through the coffee grounds to make coffee.

Pour Speed Pour / Pour time: it is defined as the amount of time required to pour the coffee into the cup of the group. Should be 25-30 seconds for espresso.

Pump: This is the device that moves water through the coffeemaker.

Semi-automatic espresso machine and coffee and tea machine without pre-set dosing capability.

Steam nozzle / Wand: metal tube that produce steam for frothing milk.

Super Automatic Espresso & Coffee Maker: The process of brewing coffee by the cup of fresh coffee in addition to other features such as a water filter is handled automatically by the machine.

Jam: The process of pressing ground coffee into the filter basket.

Vacuum coffee maker: machine using vacuum process for making coffee.

Traditional espresso coffee machine: a traditional way to brew coffee without using the bean to cup automatic model.

Water Filter: filters dirt.
