Making Doughnuts

Making DoughnutsDoing donuts?

Ok I mixed it all, but it does not seem like it has increased at all as they rise they fry? Should I start over and use yeast? I used baking powder and baking soda.
FYI I mixed in my bread machine, the dough is in the refrigerator
Also, if I use a short-circuit vegetables (Crisco) is that Vegan?

Crisco is vegan, because it has no animal fat, but it is also satuated fat. There is a new type of shortning not saturated, manufactured by Great Food America. You do not want your dough to be cold when you put them in cooking oil (I use peanut oil) because they are too slow to mount. If you use the yeast you need to leave the donuts rise before baking, then gently place in hot oil. If you do not have a fryer with a thermostat, then use a food thermometer. You can use baking powder for cakes cake.

Oh, do not be discouraged! Once you conquer technique, you too will be popular with donuts own. What temperature is your oil when you put the donuts in oil? Did you make donuts or fritters yeast cake? Have you used a donut cutter? I really want you to succeed. Report Abuse

Vegan only if no animal products are used. As for the rise - Did you follow the recipe? Yes, most donuts or pastry place in the cooking process. The only exception to that would be if the recipe calls for yeast and a period of increases.
