No Carb Bread Does anyone know about the bread recipe low carb?? One of my friends in my company wants to bake bread, low carb, so for it had a recipe I found somewhere that was not acceptable. In this recipe they said to use honey instead of sugar for fermentation. But does't that make no sense to me b coz even honey is a high source of fructose, which is nothing but another form of glucose, I think. So could u please suggest something it can use as a sugar substitute. She asked if she could use the artificial sugar that I do not think it's any kind of sugar that we can use for the fermentation process. So I told him not for that too. But my belief is that, during fermentation while sugar turns into alcohol that can be removed by firing high due to the volatile nature of alcohol. Just for ur info it does not even want his product in alcohol for several reasons. if someone could suggest me anything or where I can find this recipe?? .... Thank you While we do Low Carb, we lack a slice of bread or the ability to make a sandwich at work. This allows us the freedom to do exactly that. * The sugar is totally consumed by the yeast and does not contribute to the count carbohydrates. This bread is about 4 grams of carbohydrates per slice. I'm not sure how Splenda could work. It is derived from sugar. I do not know where you are, but in the stores here, they have flour low carb and there is a recipe on the bag. just the regular grocery store I go to Winn Dixie and it is there. I used Splenda and Sweet & Low, both in cooking just to reduce the amount because it is sweeter than regular sugar many! Good luck! Bread renowned Gabi Posted on June 7, 2010.
