Popcorn Salt

Popcorn SaltThe secret gathering Perfect Popcorn salt

Does a secret very simple, really - so simple it should not be called a secret at all. Unfortunately not many people pay attention to the salt they sprinkle on their snack the family broke out after using a popcorn machine, which can lead to a. .. and salty snacks. No worries, it's normal. I knew there was rock salt and iodized salt, before I had to start looking at the salt popcorn. It's amazing what a little knowledge of a grain of salt can do when choosing the best machine for your popcorn.

All salts are basically the same, but they differ in how they are designed and how they are treated. Sea salt, the simplest form of salt, is often regarded as the most natural. It is harvested by hand and, depending on how it is collected and stored, is often the healthier choice. The trouble with sea salt is that it is very rough and can, therefore, often used in dishes that involve boiling or cooking for long periods of time. The salt used in most dishes is now iodized salt (table salt), which, besides being enriched with iodine, has a finer texture and is easily spread through food.

With these properties in mind, we have to consider the ideal way to make popcorn - and how to apply salt to it. Popcorn has a coating on it - whether oil or butter - and, ideally, it spreads throughout the cooking process. The oil and butter not only flavor, but also ensure that the grains are heated uniformly so that all the popcorn at the same time. It goes without saying that we need a fine grain - that way the oil or butter does unevenly.

We want to have fine grain and we want to be able to distribute it evenly, and is the key. It is the salt of maize on the market - is a salt with finer grains and some of them have other health benefits - or so they claim. Here's how you can make your own. Take your preferred salt (maybe you prefer more healthy) and grind it with a food processor or coffee grinder or spice. It does not work perfectly, but it helps a lot.

It's really a simple secret - although I should not call it a secret (because now everyone knows). Try next time. Remember, these delicious snacks could be just the way you want, if you take a few minutes to look around and find what works best for you. Happy snacking!
