My bath mixer tap running custom is hot, but will run on the cold is a handle faucet, sink mixer is the same? , The bath mixer occasionly will only work if you ran the sink for a few seconds then hot water bath heat kicks in ????????? I stripped the mixer down and the insert is well presented, please help!
The pressures are uneven and the heated race to get through.
You need to reduce the cold-pressed, and the easiest is if you have a Forthe valve-a-fix food cold in the bath.
You can disable this fall with a simple turn of the screw, and hot water will be competing for space from the tap, even with the cold.
So you get a good mix.
If you do not have a ball on the line insulator-cold stream, you may need to reduce pressure from the cold tank in the attic (if the reservoir fed) by closing the valve outlet master a few more, or if the power sector (street), then turn your master valve a little.
Of course, these actions will have consequences in other rooms - because you are lowering the overall pressure.
Good Luck
I suspect that the cold is connected to a pressure and gravity fed hot water, while the pressures are unequal.
If you turn off the main valve, you should be able to deduce where the cold comes (the tank in the attic or directly from the offer)
