Why not add a touch of stainless steel lighting to blend in the refrigerator and stove ... these two metals are very modern and striking and recommended kitchen appliances ......( smallest on the benches stainless steel ..) ... fashionable .. success

I think the equipment and lighting must be brushed nickel. The antique brass is inconsistent with the steel.

Everyone likes different things, it should not always be "Matchy-Matchy" to look nice. It's your kitchen do you think looks good. My house was built in 1928 and when I remodeled J have tried to keep things the old research to match the house. I used the glass buttons and cabinet pulls with all white aplliances. detirmining factor is ... that the species and color is the cabinetrey wood. you can make the brass hinges and handles work if it matches the look of wood ... I hope you have an alder or mahogany furniture, stained a medium tone.
