How To Waffles home and freeze them for later use As a mother and grandmother busy, I did not always have time during the week to take a hot homemade breakfast. During the weekend, I would like to house pancakes, waffles and French bread to use during the week.
The recipe and following instructions is how I want to make our waffles and freeze them for later use. They will keep for several weeks in the freezer if properly stored.
Freezing Instructions: These waffles can be made ahead and frozen for later use. Let cool thoroughly. Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and place in freezer for 15-20 minutes. Remove from freezer and place in sealable plastic bags or plastic containers for freezing. I place a sheet of parchment paper between each waffle to prevent sticking.
Reheating Instructions: You can reheat in your oven toaster, wide slot toaster or microwave for 1-2 1 / 2 minutes. Top with butter and / or your favorite syrup before serving.
Recipe Waffle House
2 egg whites beaten
2 egg yolks
3 / 4 cup cold milk
1 / 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 1 / 2 tsp teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 / 2 teaspoon table salt
4 tablespoons butter, melted
In a small mixing bowl, use an electric mixer, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form and set aside.
In another bowl, lightly beat the egg yolks. Add cold milk and vanilla until they are all together. Sift dry ingredients into the bowl the yolk until mixture is well blended. Stir in melted butter. Gently fold the egg whites beaten stiff until all ingredients are combined and wet.
Preheat your waffle iron until it is hot and has reached the proper temperature. Pour the batter onto the inside of an inch from the edge. Cook each wafer for about 5-6 minutes or until cooked through. Serve immediately or freeze for later use.
