Low Fat Desert No meal is over unless there is a desert involved. If you are here in America, you know that most of the deserts there are bad for you. They are loaded with salt, sugar and fat. We have become a nation addicted to junk food. I have a theory on this point. I think that when the wealth of experience to a group of people change their plans. I know this is simple and even a fool can come up with something like that, but listen to me. When a group of people have enough money that they have a choice of what they eat, they choose to go with the more fatty foods. I think it's because we tend to store fat to keep us warm for the winter.
In our mind, if there is a lot of food choices, then we will go to fatty foods. Like most animals, we prepare for the winter time. We know it will be cold so we want a layer of fat to keep us warm. Another aspect of it is, we are greedy. All people are greedy. We want the best of everything. We want a beautiful new car, new house and all the rich foods we can eat. In the past, a wealthy person ate different foods than those who are poor.
What to do? You want some joy to the end of the meal, but you do not want to become a lard ass. Well, you can have your cake and eat it too. We will discuss some of the more healthy deserts that you can eat. First, I want to say, do not be fooled by things like low fat. It is not worth the time. You eat twice as much of it to meet your desires. Because it lacks something, fat. The only thing you want most. Ultimately you do not really do yourself any favors. You are falling into the trap that all fat people fall. They think that because it is low in fat, they can eat twice as much of it. That may be true, but only if you do not want to lose weight.
Fresh fruit is always a good desert. You can do it easily and it is delicious. Nothing tastes better than the fresh fruit is in season. Make sure it is perfectly ripe and ready to eat. If it is ripe, it will be sweet and juicy. If you eat a fruit that is not ripe, it will be difficult and not have all the flavor it can produce. You do not stick to the ho hum fruit salad. You can choose a ton of ways to eat fresh fruit. You can bake apples for example wrapped in tin foil with a little brown sugar. It's wonderful.
One of my favorite things is bananas sliced in orange juice. The sweet acidity of orange juice is really different compared to the banana. I could eat a truckload of this stuff. It is also an excellent choice me if you feel lethargic. We've all seen those wand mixers advertised on television. Some people call these boat motors. This is a hand mixer / blender that you can use for many things. I love these things. If you have one, it is easy to make a great low fat desert.
Here is a simple desert using your boat motor. Take skim milk. You must make sure it is frozen for this purpose. Take your milk and put it in a drinking glass. Use your boat motor to whip air into it. You will notice after a while it kind of look like whipped cream. Add some bananas and strawberries and a small pinch of sugar to make it soft. This is very low in fat and it is delicious. You got this desire to take care of the fat you've been so thirsty. The milkshake really feels almost like whipped cream. You will not believe how much it feels like the real thing.
You can also use it to add a little spice to all sorts of things. You can use it to make your low fat milkshakes. You can add your protein mix to this for a great meal with very little fat. You'll be surprised how many things you can do with this whipped topping. People will think you dropped your rocker when they think you eat a significant portion of whipped cream. Before you know it, all your friends at the gym.
